My father has chest pain — should I book a cardiac ambulance or rush him by car?
Call an ambulance. A car cannot monitor his rhythm or respond to a cardiac arrest en route; the ambulance crew can, and travel by private car during a heart attack is one of the most common and dangerous mistakes families make. Call us, or 108 for government service — whichever can reach you first.
Can a cardiac patient travel outstation by road?
Many can, with their cardiologist’s clearance. We carry the monitor and defibrillator throughout, schedule gentle halts, and keep the treating doctor’s summary with the crew. For recent, unstable events, we advise waiting until the doctor clears travel.
Do you carry cardiac medication?
The vehicle carries an emergency cardiac drug kit for use by trained crew under protocol. The patient’s own prescribed medicines should travel with them, with the prescription.
